CAREER GUIDANCE & PLACEMENT UNIT
The unit is headed by a Placement Officer supported by student representatives and the faculty. The Principal of the institution is the Chairman of this unit.
The unit encourages students to undergo industrial training. Personality development programs and other training programs are also arranged regularly. These training programs help the students to perform well in competitive examinations, interviews and group discussions. This unit provides guidance and all the assistance for the students in order to achieve their career goals. The unit takes right steps in identifying the demands of the current industry and prepares our students towards this need. Adequate emphasis is given for soft skill development complementing the regular academic programs.
Communicative English and aptitude classes are conducted for students who are weak in communication. The students will be brought into the fold of the CGPU during their first year itself. Aptitude tests and group discussions are conducted at regular intervals to enable the students to improve their performance in competitive exams.
Placement Cell is having the facilities such as a seminar hall equipped with public address system, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), Over Head Projector (OHP), Personal Computers etc. As a result of the earnest attempts of the CGPU, 75% students of each batch are regularly securing placements. Those students who get placement through the CGPU help the unit to achieve its objectives, by their effort and contributions. (Dynamic listing of placement details also done here)
